Happy Father’s Day to all our Piranha Dads!

Wednesday, June 19^th is our first away meet. The Piranhas will travel to Gettysvue Country Club to take on the Gliders. Every team runs their meets differently and we want to be good be good guests. Pack your patience and understanding.

Pool Address – 9317 Linksvue Drive, 37922

Check In – Our blue canopy and feather flag will be set up for worker and swimmer check in. We will also use this area as a rally point for relays.

Swimmers – All swimmers need to be ready for warm ups at 5:15. Wednesday night is Jersey night. Wear your favorite players jersey, but bring your Piranha Pride.

Workers – High Five, Congrats to all our parents, we only have a few worker positions open for our Gettysvue Meet. We need help in our 8 & Under Clerk of Course. It is very important to have friendly faces that our swimmers know in these spots. Sign up and help our littlest swimmers have a great meet. This is an easy way for 8 & Under parents to get to know your children’s peers and relay teammates. The workers meeting for both 1^st
and 2^nd shift workers will be at 5:45 pm. We will transition from 1^st to 2^nd
shift workers at event 35.

Parking-  Primary parking for swim meets is at the Club House. Secondary parking for swim meets is at the Tennis Courts – Please see attached picture.

There is NO on the street parking allowed in the neighborhood.

Seating – Gettysvue has reserved poolside seating for us- BRING YOUR CHAIRS. The parking lot side of the pool deck is reserved for the visiting team. We are NOT ALLOWED to set up canopies on pool deck.

An additional seating area for visitors is available in the grassy area located outside the pool, canopies are allowed in this area.  Please see attached pictures.

Caution – All swimmers, parents and guests must stay off the golf course. There will be active golfers on the course during our meet. There is a possibility that you could be hit with a ball!

Clerk of Course – All of our 8 & Under swimmers will be seated in Gettysvue’s Clerk of Course.  This is normal during away meets, we ask that all visiting 8 & Under
swimmers be seated through our Clerk of Course.  Please make sure that your swimmers arrive on time to be seated, this keeps the meet moving. 9/10 Piranhas will head straight to the Ready Bench area as they do at our pool.

Weather – It looks like we are going to have a warm meet, stay hydrated. We also have a 50% chance of thunder storms. Many of us remember the last time we went to Gettysvue, fingers crossed we don’t have a repeat!

Concessions – GCC offers a concession stand: burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and
drinks. Their swim team does not benefit from concession stand sales. You can also expect country club pricing.
