Event Dates

• Friday, July 28 - 11 & older preliminary session
• Saturday, July 29 - 10 & under preliminary session
• Sunday, July 30 - Finals for both previous sessions

Daily Schedule – ALL 3 Days!

7:00 am

• Building open for spectators and coaches
• Hospitality room open for coaches and officials
• Coaches check-in for deck access wristband in the upper hallway, diving well end

7:15 am - Swimmers should be dressed and ready at the tent awaiting Coach Breanna.

7:40 am - Warm-up sessions begin.

8:00 am - Head officials meeting in hallway outside meet management room

8:20 am- Team and skilled worker meetings in girl’s clerk of course tent

8:40 am - Competition pools cleared and prepared for competition

9:00 am - Competition begins

Parking

Parking is free and located at the Metron/Kingston Building next to Tyson Park (2309 Kingston Pike.) It is approximately one mile from the Allen Jones Aquatic Center.

Shuttle busses will be provided between the pool and parking area from 7:00 a.m. until the end of the meet on all three days. The swimmers and their families will have unlimited use of the shuttle service throughout the weekend. There will be a designated shuttle bus stop on UT Drive between the Student Aquatic Center and the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

Traffic on UT Drive will be one-way throughout the meet, from Andy Holt Avenue to Volunteer Blvd.

Drop-off and Unloading will take place in two areas:

•  Student Aquatic Center Tents: right lane of Andy Holt Avenue in front of the Student Aquatic Center. NO PARKING or leaving the car will be permitted there at any time during the meet.
• Allen Jones tents: turn right on to UT Drive from Andy Holt Avenue. ABSOLUTELY NO UNLOADING in front of the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The street is not wide enough, and officers WILL WRITE TICKETS to persons who block traffic by stopping there.

UT Drive will be open all day for loading and unloading. The shuttle will also stop here. Police officers will be present to direct traffic and ensure everyone’s safety. Any cars parked in the parking garage across from AJIAC or in any UT parking lot WILL BE TICKETED. Neither GKAISA nor AJIAC will be able to help you with your ticket.

Team Tent Seating and Spectating

Swimmers need to stay in the Concord Hills Team tent please so they can be found, hear announcements for clerk of course, or react to schedule changes. Tents are located around the Allen Jones building and along the front of the adjacent Student Aquatic center on Andy Holt Ave. We will have the big CHP Piranhas feather flag up so you can locate us easily among all the tents. Family and friends are welcome to spectate in the main building of Allen Jones. There is no entry fee for the event and you may come and go as you like. Allen Jones is air conditioned and there are accommodations for special needs/handicap to enter the building or spectate in the stands.

Food Options – Friday and Saturday

• At Venue: The only food available during City Meet is the concessions stand in Allen Jones building on the main floor. They serve hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn and soft drinks.  Expect long lines.
• Please pack lots of water/Gatorade and snacks for your swimmer to access in the tent during the meet. It’s going to be hot to be sure!
• Team Lunch Option: We are again coordinating orders from Jimmy Johns.  There is no discount or kick back to the team, this is just to make things easier on our families.  We have point people to accept the orders - Melissa Doerr on Friday and Amber Alexander on Saturday.  If you follow these instructions Melissa and Amber will receive delivery and distribute within the team tent.

1.  Go to https://www.jimmyjohns.com/  In the upper right hand corner select delivery.  Use 2106 Andy Holt Ave. Knoxville TN 37996 as your delivery address.

2.  As your company name use - Concord Hills Piranhas.

3. Complete your order.  You can customize your sandwich with your choice of bread, even making in an "Unwich" lettuce wrap.  Choose your sandwich toppings, sides, and beverages.  If you fill in the box ""who wants it" with the first name of the person ordering it, it will be labeled with their name.  Each order will be packaged together with your receipt attached. 

4. Select the date you will be at City Meet.  If you have swimmers that are 11 & Up you will select 7/28/2017.  If you have swimmer 10 and Under you will select 7/29/2017.  After that you will select the the  11:15 am- 11-30 am delivery time.  This seems early, but trust me after getting to the pool at 7:30 your kids and you will be looking for food.

5. Please include a tip when you order.  The team will not tip the driver at the time of delivery. 

Volunteer Positions - If you have a swimmer swimming at City on one of these days, please sign up for a shift or split a shift with a fellow parent friend on the team. This is super important! Unlike dual meets, if we do not fill these positions we will be fined monetarily and docked points against our team score.

FYI – City Meet is on Twitter. You can follow them on the day of the meet and get the event calls to clerk of course directly to your phone! If you liked this at SMI, it’s even more important at City where things are much further apart to walk to.
