Peninsula Club Results and 4th of July Week
Good evening Piranhas,
This email is coming to you later than normal because of the busy weekend I've had. I'm still working on the time drops and will have those for beads this coming Friday. Since we do not have a meet this week there will be regular practice on Friday, July 7th.
For the final results of our meet against Peninsula Club: Concord Hills- 342 Peninsula Club- 383. Although we did not win this one we still have another chance to stay in League 1 for next year by beating Gulf Park and then ranking higher than Peninsula Club at City Meet. We need EVERYONE there for both of those meets!!! If you missed the deadline to enter please talk to me and I will get you added in.
There were some really great races against Peninsula Club and at the same time a fair amount of mental mistakes which cost us. One example is not finishing all the way to the wall with LONG arms but finishing with a short stroke. This alone lost us a couple of races that we needed to win to gain more points.
Another reason is that we were missing quite a few people and therefore were unable to substantially change things with the lineup when needed due to numbers. We had quite a few swimmers sick as well, so let's keep working on staying healthy and rested (not just for the team but as young growing individuals too!). ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, our team sportsmanship continues to grow! We had all different age groups cheering for each other during the whole meet! WAY TO GO! Let's keep that team spirit alive and continue to have fun!
Remember, evening practices are now only held on Monday and Wednesday evenings. There are no more Tuesday and Thursday evening practices! If you would like to keep getting that extra practice in all coaches, except for Ross (his schedule is pretty hectic already), will be available for private lessons. Speak with us individually for rates and to schedule a time!
THIS WEEK! We will be having practice everyday EXCEPT for TUESDAY, JULY 4th! We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday that day!
See you all tomorrow morning!
Coach Breanna
