Dear Piranha Family,

I know you are all wondering about the t-shirts and team suits from Zone Swimwear. We went out on a limb this year to get custom suits from a company we had never used before both because of the idea of personalized suits and because of many bad experiences with a local supplier.  While we are still hopeful the final product will be fantastic, the process has been very disappointing and disheartening to say the least.  It seems that because they are a small company, one of their two machines breaking down right when our order was in production caused an avalanche of problems meeting obligations. 

 Here is what we know as of this afternoon:

• At the moment, we have our team swim silicone caps in hand, and they look great.

• The boys jammers and the first order of t-shirts (for those who registered by 5/13) were in Knoxville today, but because of a miscommunication between shipping carriers, DHL did not have the information that the box was to be left without a signature.  It has gone back up to the DHL facility in Kentucky to be sent out again tomorrow with the instructions changed to leave the box without a signature and to get it to us before noon. 

• The girls’ suits have been delayed, but Zone is trying to get out an overnight shipment of black practice suits tonight that we can wear for the meet and keep afterwards at no cost.  It will specify morning delivery, assuming they get the shipment out tonight.  They anticipate getting the girls’ final suits to us next week. 

• For those of you who ordered other spirit-wear- hoodies, polos, etc- from the Zone website, those have not shipped yet, but they will send them as soon as they receive them from a 3rd party manufacturer.

 Please know that we have been in constant communication with Zone and they are very aware of our frustration and disappointment in meeting their promised timeline.  We have and are doing everything we can to get these suits here ASAP.  As soon as we have a box in hand, we will let you know when and how we will distribute.  We are hoping that the worst-case scenario has us handing out all the suits in the hours before the meet.  Please check your email or the team website for updates tomorrow.
